GCRC Style

GCRC! THE ONE AND ONLY!

These group car shots represent more than just a display of cool machines.

They highlight some passionate enthusiasts with a serious addiction.  Re-creating replica vehicles with incredible details.

There's always people behind these machines and images. Driving and Building. Tuning and Selecting. And often spending more time and money on these than their real drift cars.

Inspiring all.

to go that extra yard in search of that something special.

These twins showcase that addiction, but it's also a celebration by using your expensive personal masterpiece to it's ultimate drift demise.

Ironman and War machine ready for more battles.

Perhaps against the GTR34 Hulk

A new machine in the Driftline stable on debut

Everyone is gathering for a final showdown. Let's celebrate!

GCRC Tuesday Thrash ... out!

The best trains so far.... today we really made the most of our limited time.

Over almost 3 years GCRC has become Australia's premium venue for drift.

recently the skill set on offer means that almost everyone is at a very high level.

That means every time I attend, I can't get enough. I think this is echoed by many others.

It doesn't matter who is in the battle or train, I can totally enjoy myself.

For this, I am quite proud that I have played some part in the GCRC landscape, whether that be the look of the track, or the skills of the drivers.

It was this amazing venue that brought so many smiles and enjoyment. Every one of the thousands of laps at GCRC were pretty awesome. It's good to see that so many have enjoyed the slower, realistic style we run here.

How cool is this shot!

And this shot.  and and and...every other shot.  The diorama circuit style imagery adding to my enjoyment. Recording almost every session over the last few years has resulted in thousands of photos. Each one a memory in itself.

So it was tough news tonight to hear that GCRC would be closing it's doors. The business failed to find another owner in a set timeframe. "The Moolman" created an RC mecca where a shared love for RC Drift and Off road racing was at such a high level.

The best in OZ.

I think I can speak for all regular GCRC Drifters in saying a heart-felt thank you!

The GCRC surface challenges all to be at the top of their game. And has raised the level of all drivers needing to learn all the elements of drift. Speed, line, braking, angle not only to battle, but also join in the trains.

Some awesome runs tonight.

Responding to the call "Stick it on the wall!"

Some great fun with some great people!

Thanks for the battles and fun times! I'm sure there will be some elements of GCRC style that will be re-incarnated into a new venue in the future.

Stay tuned for the final day Battles.

GCRC Battle Train 2016

Battle Train 2016 was a trial event.

We have been working on trains at GCRC recently, so I devised a test of skills.   DP, DriftLine, JXR and JXR

With a random draw of 3 or 4 drivers this highlighted the depth of driver skill at GCRC.

Mixtures of CS and RWD or All RWD showcasing some determined effort for constant line and constant spacing.  FR-D, DP-DM, R3R and DIB

I did award prizes, but actually all I wanted to try was a mix up of skills.

A team of three and a chase car.

Following the king of constant line all showed some awesome skills.

It's was a great job by all. Driftline, JXR-W and RMX

A bit of battle as these guys finished their runs.

My own team was luckily made up of all RWD. Vacula, and RE-doubleW

I sneaked into the middle here to give our team a good chance. I was really impressed how awesome the other drivers have become.

All these images speak for themselves... :-)

and.... across the line.

This 30 minute mini-event was a good trial, I really enjoyed trying something new.

Mesh Overdose.

If you are after mesh, there are some cool options out there.

MST Adjustable Offset Mesh in the foreground are great options. But if you love the "Brands" then 326 Power Yaba King rims from Overdose are worth looking at.

The Yaba-Kings have a cool rim that is very deep at the edge where a 3 piece rim would have the bolts, so even though the offsets are lower numbers the dish is still Deeeeeeep.

Overdose & 326Power replicas. http://www.yabaking-326power.com/#!blank/ci0s

I usually can't get into chrome rims but these I really like.

Hooked up the RE-Xtreme machines ready for battle.

GCRC Mahem #Part 2 Triple Moon

An amazing fun session. Team work at it's best.

Some crazy lines and attack style fun. If you take life too seriously, You miss out on a lot.

The 3 most recent Moon builds were on track today.  Built for door to door fun.

These machines  are effective the mirror image swapping red for white.

The R32 Low Style project has definitely inherited the fun drift style of A~Bo~Moon

Some more R32s always join the party.

While we practice. This red machine will soon be replaced by a new R32 to join the team.

About 3 weeks seems to be the normal time~frame to pick up RWD from Countersteer.

I handed over the Blue Flame to get some pics.

and pretty soon, it was ON!!!! Battle style.

Running the wall is just something that has to be done. These two look awesome together.

Superb fun battles. Mixing it up.

Everyone now running awesome lines. Check out  the wing over the fence here!! I'd say thats the Perfect position!!!

MST VIP XXX-D with low cost modes VS DRB-REW Conversion. Both effective.

FR-D in the Mix. I did so much driving today that the M12S couldn't handle the pace. depleted battery ending my operation.

Kapow!!! just off line... But we were trying very very hard.

But every lap had a reward.

Amazing day at GCRC Raceway!
