Mesh Overdose.

If you are after mesh, there are some cool options out there.

MST Adjustable Offset Mesh in the foreground are great options. But if you love the "Brands" then 326 Power Yaba King rims from Overdose are worth looking at. 

The Yaba-Kings have a cool rim that is very deep at the edge where a 3 piece rim would have the bolts, so even though the offsets are lower numbers the dish is still Deeeeeeep.

I usually can't get into chrome rims but these I really like.

Just how wide is the ZN6 Addiction kit?  Well the R32 runs + 9 wheels . not exactly enough for the 86.

These are +14 ... Perfect! Rear is 215mm wide.

Overdose Yaba-King and Projects.

YABA-King wheels for Overdose approved by Haraguchi from 326 Power. I'll be using them on my new Low Style R33.


Overdose wheels have a different construction to others, a different sound also comes through the wheel.

V2 - Wheel Selection

So... The wheel dilemma on the V2 continues, but choice is awesome. 



A little while ago I put the feelers out for some more of my favourite +12 rims. Top line has discontinued the N-Model Mars Drift Fighters in +12 so I am trying to find a few sets around the place. 

Tijs came to the rescue with this fluro yellow set. And as it turns out... are a pretty close match for the D1 Spec V1. Maybe a touch of smoke will tone them down just enough.

But the bonus is these +13 Spice TE37s . They have a seriously deep center which is more like an Advan T6 rim. 

So I have the following selections of Top Line Drift Fighter Mars N1 +12 OFF 

4 x White
4 x Yellow 
4 x Black with metal flake
4 x White painted Dark Blue
2 x White painted Red
2 x Chrome

But I'd like to complete the Chrome and Red sets. Red is Painted from a white set.

So now I have a few variations. I can throw in the mix. It's working out pretty well.

The V1 looks good with White, Black and Yellow.

The V2 looks good with Black and Blue ( and the 2 reds which I need two more of.)

About the only other super wide rims I have are these metal beasts that are about +13 also. They are indeed awesome.

The gemini is quite large scale even though it's narrow.   It looks well sized beside Yokomo AE86s.

But it was also very well sized against the mini. Very cool runs tonight!

I added a bit more details the shell starts to "gain character" Sunroof is going in too.

New rims are an excellent size. repainted in a matt silver. these Devil Japan Shadow 4 Spokes work really well.

14x7 seems about right.

 Somehow... white would be cool too! Love my Gemini!

I borrowed some rims for a little while... I had left my CE28N at home. Doh!

These +0 HPI TE37 were looking cool.

And these +0 old style rims suited the Gemini well too.

but dark rims at night are hard to see.

So I ripped it up for a while with these. Note 1/100 scale Caslonic Skyline... Super cool.
