WIP - Tattoo Moon

While Still very much a work in progress, the latest A~Bo~Moon R32 is a little different.

Consider it a step up in performance if you will. The large FO Wing taking the low style into the High style.

Pandora BN Sports HCR32 GTS-T with Kunnyz Chaser wing & Yokomo High Wing mounts. 

It's looking pretty sparse as I wait for the remaining sticker set. But striking none the less.

In many ways it reminds me of a Japanese print or drawing. 

With the red just that small highlight. 

Remaining stickers will be black so a start contrast to my other black machine.

Can't wait for this one.

DRB-REW Test and Tune.

Dialling in the RWD means getting it all 'just' right.

With so much lock on offer up front, you have to be sure all pieces are accurate and secure.

There's a bit of a formula with front end setup. 

Heaps of lock.

No Binding... wheels should roll freely, even at full lock.

Parallel wheels with just a hint of toe out on full angle. 

Wrap up next VX knuckles and Y arms are very effective in this endeavor.

Now the setups are pretty stable.

May the fun continue.

FRIED FEST

Preppin for the S13 Festa 2016. 

Or just perfecting the line with a new chassis. A friday night still a whole bunch of fun.

Finding the limits of RWD can be a challenge. 

that track time is all important. 

dialling a new chassis is also a challenge. My New DRB-REW is almost perfect OTB.

Providing the ability to follow a set line...

Or be super aggressive on braking entry.

Off the bench and onto the track. Pretty impressive. 

Recommended front end working well.

Handing it over for a few to try.

MID WEEK builds REW + R32

It all starts with a bunch of stuff lying around.

And then there's the paint project you should have finished ages ago.

My last DRB started as an interesting machine. 1.3 cs SSG chassis and a unique JDM setup.

The disassembled machine had seen much work with scoffed alloy, and simply dirty base.
This is the risk of used machinery.

My Build started with a black base. and the front end received some Wrap Up Next parts

New Overdose OD2130 Ball End Set easily clears the knuckles on full extension.
then you need some ball studs etc.

 doesn't take long to build these days. Front end needs bolting up... Ackerman not set.

I was forced to use an old DIB steering setup. And Sanwa SGS-01D is my choice. But MST 2.0 is favored by others.

So the reverse Moon machine is almost ready. A single night paint means it's rough, but thats just how it should be. About a week from now, it will be covered in sticks to match the others.

Tired... Maybe a holiday...

GCRC Tuesday TrackTime

Getting on track is what we love. 

You can tinker with your chassis or paint a body, but the excitement is in the driving.

Watching the attitude of the drift machine brings that smile when you get it right. 

Pick up a battle partner and the fun increases.  S13 getting ready for the S-Festa on the 13/3/2016

matching the line angle and speed is where it gets tricky.

After you work out each others strengths you can close the proximity.

Some awesome action on track. 

With an R32 bias of course.

the new paint gets all the attention...

A~BO~Muun + RE-Xtreme

A~BO~Moon style R32s are well known in Japan. These ones have been heavily influenced by the team.

The A~BO~Moon R32s are typically Blue 4 Door ER32 models. the RE-Xtreme team are a mix of 2 and 4 door models with the colour restrictions lifted. 

unfortunately, one member was absent, but we still have quite the group meet.

Slightly different rear end treatments. 

And a mix of individuality. These bodies have glitter all through them, and in the shade, they lose that bling, but still look impressive.

These 5 are all RWD machines. 1x D-Like RE-R, 2x Drift Line and 2x DRB-REW 

Thanks to the guys for running some .RSG. logos among the other logos. 

it's been great to see them all evolve.

This one is the latest addition. A definite replica of the lead machine.

Dori-Sen (Drift Line) Machines run Tamiya gearbox, Yokomo wipers, MST front end and everything else custom... A feature to come.   

finished with Top Line DRS-5 rims, the result is awesome.

The other Drift Line chassis runs a similar 4 door with grille removed.

This 4 door contains a D-Like RE-R Weight Shift Hybrid. These colours are close to some of the real machines.

I'll skim past my own chassis and body... described countless times before. 

Arynz Slider is one of the brighter machines and makes a great target.
