YADSEUT - Handbrakes not handbags.

Close proximity high speed entries... Handbrakes not handbags.

If you get it all right, formation will follow the whole lap.

But it all starts with getting the proximity onto the straight. With the wide corner, it's easier to close small gaps with slightly shallower line to get right on the bumper.

Before throwing it into the deep.

But sometimes you go that tiny bit too far and a wall touch straightens you up in a hurry. But we always try to run the wall.

Slight safety margin on the far side of the track

But you still have to run hard. Because the chase group approaches quick.

There aren't too many occasions we try to carve up the inside.

two pair...

Become a four car train.

Then when you are comfy,

 Lock on an close up.

Trying to mostly keep the in line train order, other times when not organized,  Swapping becomes common.

The two silvia's here are usually R32 also. Still wearing bodies from the recent S-chassis day, the Nismo corner is a good match. only 5 R32 Mooners today

Some great fun.

Silvia double Skyline double.

And singles.

Driftline Double.

Awesome sessions again.

Loving the RC.

R-SAN-SAN

R-SAN-SAN Shakedown.

Rolled out the 33 for a quick test.

Pandora BN Sports ER33 GTS-T is pretty mad. The front openings are large, but that means easy to work on.

Out back I fitted a home-made pipe and Number plate holder. Yokomo Kunnyz Wing and SPL Wing Stays.

Driver installed  for those added appeal.

Profile is pretty cool!

Thanks to all for parking up while I paraded for a few laps. Identified a wheel offset and Lower arm incompatibility issue.

Was good to get some action shots while it's still clean. Maybe 1 week before there's marks down the doors.

Boss S14 - Pre-Release

My work on the Boss in 90% complete and body is ready for action. Time for a pre-release checkpoint.

Although still to have the cage and lighting installed, the only other omission we are waiting on are some custom stickers.

Overall the theme has taken the lightly modified BRE design and incorporated the GCRC colour theme.

Magnetic wing is optional should a big wing be needed.  Bumper is discarded.

The rear is simply too cool to cover with a bumper.

An RC-Art centre exit exhaust brings balance and a little weight to the rear.

Soon to debut. Look out for the Boss at GCRC Raceway.

BOSS S14 Update Details

Getting the details right always adds that little extra.

Light buckets for the S14 were found in a buggy light kit.

finishing off these beasts is a chore. Small

Wheels and tyres are also a tough choice. offset 5 and 7 seem to be about all you can stuff into a Boss S14.

Rear is also nearing completion, Dash in, magnet rear wing and rear muffler have been added.

Another day or so.

As if this Yokomo S13 + Addiction aero wasn't looking good, sometimes you want to show off a bit more.

My R33 GTS-T WIP

This beast is really growing on me. Super tough but still clean.

RC-ART L-size hood scoop is not out of place. Yokomo Intercooler modified for return type. Air cleaner installed.

Oil cooler fitted. Faux Tomei Powered for reliable 650hp. Light buckets still to be completed. Black edition P!PES muffler for the rear will match the Kunnyz wing and few other things.  Wheels currently +5 and +7 but will need to bring the rear in just slightly. The wheel wells on this body are quite small so to take advantage of low stance you'll either need a bit of tuck or a lot of camber.

Body lines will complete the picture with no plans for mad stickers. Figure installed. Don't be fooled. She can drive.

GCRC 2 Late - Part 2

GCRC Training Sessions are getting intense.

Wild willy now running Low Style.

One person I have been training with always has a smile on his face.

When we are battling this close... fun is joined by excitement.

My DRB-REW in attack mode. Massive angle big entries. =  :)

Straightening it out while keeping proximity is also a great challenge.

Sometimes it's a drag race as you approach the straight, but measure your throttle application and you can fall back into position.

Our RWD drift trains at GCRC are really improving.  Getting the right pace up front and equal setting is good.

Measured spacing ensures collision free lapping.

You can't even see the wall in this pic. Total coverage!!!

Close is as close does.

Changing position now and then until everyone is comfortable.

Running together lets us learn a good line that allows room to switch and transition with minimum proximity.

the slight inside line can help close the small gaps.

About 4 hours of door2door2door2door2door.

High Speed entries in a train... Awesome!

When you throw it in... you need a bit of space...

But by the end of the corner, All we be close again.

Sometimes we laugh but sometimes it's dead quiet.

Concentration is king.

With national holidays coming up... we need a break. But we'll be back with a vengeance Tuesday week.
