R32 Low Style Project #8

RE-Xtreme .RSG. R32 Low Style Project #8 is now 99% complete.

Based on the A~Bo~Moon Flames and utilizing the Pandora BN Sports R32 as a base, I've now built 6 of these and supplied masks for 8 in total.

My previous 2, I was begged to sell but this one is not for sale. I plan to hang onto it until it's destruction.

Features, Custom exhaust and wing. GT-Power lights and HPI Mirrors and Intercooler. IRoHa Number plate is a bonus. Through dash 10 point cage adding to the D1SL image.

Glitter based flames really reflect in the light. Low Style means LOW...

However this beast represents another kind of R32. Stock bodied R32 made wider at the rear and the front bumper is cut for that "D1 Practice Car" look.

This really has a realistic look to the body. Cage might be a bit misplaced however.

Light kit will be put to good use this Tuesday when #08 meets #09 that I have passed to it's new owner.

Man in the Moon

To get a body to mounting stage takes some time.

And when you build two... It doesn't take any less time. It's still a very manual process.

These machines are still only 1/2 finished, but when they get to this stage you can see the results you are heading for. Kazama FXR wheels are a great match for the flames.

Red, black and glitter + a whole bunch of vinyl.

Reveal stage is always anticipated.

After a long time cutting, masking, painting, waiting, painting, masking, painting, waiting, de-masking, painting, etc etc

more to do. Red is ready to be passed to another battle member. White will be mine forever so I'm investing a bit of time into the details on this one.

GCRC Friday Fresh #2

Countersteer kings.

I'd hate to count the number of laps these guys have done together. A couple of hundred thousand perhaps?

Jade in front, Nick in the rear. Very rarely swapping.

Their high countersteer ARD / Street Jam & R31 based chassis setups are hard to better.

Boss S14 - Pre-Release

My work on the Boss in 90% complete and body is ready for action. Time for a pre-release checkpoint.

Although still to have the cage and lighting installed, the only other omission we are waiting on are some custom stickers.

Overall the theme has taken the lightly modified BRE design and incorporated the GCRC colour theme.

Magnetic wing is optional should a big wing be needed.  Bumper is discarded.

The rear is simply too cool to cover with a bumper.

An RC-Art centre exit exhaust brings balance and a little weight to the rear.

Soon to debut. Look out for the Boss at GCRC Raceway.

GCRC Midweek Munch!

Moolman in action.

Not very often we see the faceless S13 in action.

But sometimes he comes out to play.

It looks awesome in action.

Always runs stripped.

The MST XXX-D Shaft drive is a very decent chassis.

With the wide track up front, it can look a little gangley at times, but it's actually much lower than it looks.

The GPX-R Ninja has moved to another Master.

But will continue down the dark path for a while.

Friday Night Jam Feature

A little fatter and a little shorter in the rear.

A few bolt-ons up front.

The small details adding to the image.

Silvations... Low and wide.

Get one up the pipe!

All the right curves.

Ripe for battle. I recently try not to run the tyres up someone's door. Unless it's RIPE!

But never scratch it on the first day.

High Class Kazama

Well Hello!

A double set of Kazama Auto GPX-R. Both with a touch of Bling.

My own "Tail Slider" and Active Hobby equipped Kazama Conversion of the R31 has a few nice pieces that finish off the chassis.

Many parts have be Re-Anodised black for a total black out.

Others raid the available parts bins and end up with a king's contrast. 24 Karat Bling.

Quite the pair. With 4 or 5 Kazama GPX-Rs and just as many R3Rs running around GCRC there's always inspiration to be had.

Soaring Battles at GCRC

GCRC is heating up. On track action is AMAZING!

I really tried a few new points to shoot from today. The results were very nice.

This selection of images was taken in a 3-4 minute period of battles that last battery after battery. I simply handed the reins of the new GPX-R to a friend and it's a tribute to the depth of skill, that these images result.

Love this shot. Front wheel frozen in position while the body rotates around it.

Street Jam R3R / Kazama runners sharing similar setups are amazing also. Pick up and R31-RS for a cheap price and it's a great entry point to slide central.

very tight battles.

Speed, Angle, Style! Got them all.

Practicing the competition line. Well not really.

just going for that minimum proximity.

Who will switch first? All together please!

Yakuza Bosses in action.

I need a couple more drivers to complete my chassis.

RWD FR-D also playing among us.

Sunday Slides are soaring to new levels of fun!
