DIB 275 and Bodies

Testing a bit of photography on the stage with the RE-Xtreme RE-DIB 275 SSG Samurai Spec 2.3

7 deg castor C hub and team Suzuki Alloy.

Team bomber front bumper support is cool.

HPI intercooler mount is a pretty poor design. the pastic is too soft!

I may just stick it on the JZX.

tensioner for the undersize front pulley.

Double tensioner for the raised rear deck.

Plenty of space in the 275 chassis, especially with a short pack.

FCD 2.0 gear set. About the only thing i want to change is the rear RR 2.0.
I want to use a FF zero deg for more slide.

Kazama rear hub has more adjustment.

Springs are quite stiff in the DIB. Chassis flex is rather large.

Head movement is connected to the servo.

mounted on the inner hole of the servo saver.

you can almost see the connection.

This Powervehicles Chaser JZX100 is the main body for the 275.

Mikuni Genosis +9 are painted to match.

The Spastix chrome paint failed, so it was mostly pulled off and replaced with PS.

This Mark X is just completed. I'm liking the wheel selection.

Front splitter and side skirts are constructed from off cuts.

Backup stickers were used instead of the intended design..

F1 style rear diffuser completes this beast.

Slide time.

RE-DIB 275 Test Spec 2.3

Check out the CS 2.3 style. https://vimeo.com/62488426

I had a 13T pulley and a tensioner lying around, so what should I do?

Lets go 2.3 CS and see what happens. 40===12 --15===20

It's almost like Yokomo expected this, as the hole is in the right spot. I'm using a 3mm spacer under an RC Square Tensioner mount with RC square red hardware on the 12T free tensioner pulley. belt is still normal size.

I have an 18T for the rear which could potentially give 2.77 but (belt length becomes and issue. )for now, I think this is enough.

Pretty nice. holds opposite lock pretty well.  Still hard to set up a DIB, to vague in the damper response.

Slide Session.

A last minute decision to shakedown the GRX130 saw me meet up with the guys at rcTechnodrift.

Shakedown for the Mark X went as expected. Very smooth, lots of traction and lots of slide.

The guys were trying the slowest drift style searching for the tyres with least grip.

so, I eventually re-tuned the DIB-L to fit their style.

This sedan looks right. Compared to this Mark II, there was not comparison. I thought it was an AE86 for a while.

I'd like yokomo to make this JZX100 rather than the Kunnyz Chaser version in longwheelbase, But I guess I'll have to settle.

Nick's cool GT-R also sliding well.

and looking groovy.

Fernando's S13 and my S14 looked good together.

Lights ablaze.
We also did a bit of DIB vs DIB 275 comparison. No different from my point of view except driving line.

I ran the Drift package with Kazama Premium that had too much grip, so I went down to RC926 DT005 for more slide.

But I like to thrash the crap out of my drift package. It loves throttle.

My canards survived despite a few "racing incidents"

Red's Mark II on track and sliding well.

After dark, things became pretty quiet as we drifted into the night.

My DRB is setup for Japanese comp style, So it doesn't really match how the guys run at GC.

But it does look cool.

in it's chrome glory.

Sitting much lower with tuck. I trimmed 3mm since last time (when it was already low)
and now it surprisingly doesn't scrape so much.

Was a fun evening.
