Shoot to Kill.

Here's a little shoot I did today when practicing.

This body still is the one I use most. and the Work XC8 Wheels with HPI are also the best for handling.

My setup is not super dollar. Just the basics.

But the image is bold. speedhunters.com sticker on my real car. 1/10 looks small.

Here's a little video... Lowriding.

RP-01 Carbon

Ok, My real car has RP-01, so I decided to replicate the future direction.

I'll be painting the real wheels black. So I found these Tamiya re-inforced Carbon RP-01 for 500 yen

I got a set of 45 degree Street Jam rubber to try out. I'll be going for some stretch.

The dummied up result is awesome. Can't wait to try them out tomorrow.

Whats the Diff?

This is a new Speed Way Pal diffuser!!! iTS AWESOME.

$7 or so, but sooo much better than the ABC Hobby Lexan one.

Now, I can pick up the chassis by the diffuser, the other one was always going to break off.

Bolts straight onto the rear of Yokomo Dift Package chassis

Hard to see in this image, but it's there. Swapped some wheels around.

Doesn't quite fit with the Wide body mazdaspeed rear bar, but it may get cut to accomodate the new item.
Or I'll just leave it on the display chassis forever.

Limited Space track design

With limited space. Most drift tracks end up looking basically the same.  This is due to the requirement for side by side and radius corners.

But that soon gets boring. So making the track flexible is the key to long run interest. just a few variations can lead to endless combinations. this is 7m x 6m

A little more space doesn't necessarily mean the design changes. It just gets faster. this is just 7m x 8m

if you implement a real "straight" you need space to straighten and turn in. so the length shout be at least more than a simulated 100 meters. 1:10 = you need space.

once again... trace a line here and see how many different ways you can go until you find a similar way.

Shafted one way

Can't wait to stick my new shaft in.

It's in,

Very different. Gotta get used to it.

I might go to Akiba on Friday to test it out and spend a bit of time on setup.

RE-Xtreme RC 210 DLM GT2 FD3s

Drift Le Mans? I Wondered what kind of liveries would appear on Mazda race cars these days.

This RENOWN based color scheme is a mix of the white Efini sponsored cars post 787B LE-Mans win.

The green is simply impact. 19" Rays Volk Racing RE-30 in green should simply be on all race cars.

Up against my own FD, we may see something happen in the future, but I don't forsee it attracting this much attention. But then again it's been done before. A bit of vinyl here and there.

Anyway, this is mounted on a Yokomo Drift Package that usually runs 190mm body.
This is 200mm HPI Mazdaspeed FD3s body
D-Stage RE-Amemiya Facer, Side Skirts and Rear Fenders.
D-Stage Mazdaspeed R-Spec Diffuser,
Yokomo S15 Wing and
Yokomo Craft Square Mirrors.

It's 210mm at the rear and the HPI RE-30 Wheels with T-Drift RE-11 32mm +6mm Offset all round. The rear requires +6mm Rear Axles.

Although it looks like a GT2 car, It will be drifted.

I'll post some Videos on Vimeo when I get around to it. Stance, clearance and some small details need to be addressed.
